Efficiency and Innovation in Wire Handling
Machinery
Impac International has been
producing wire-related machinery since 1977, and now offers an extensive line of
standard take-ups, as well as, custom built units to meet specific requirements with
increased reliability and economy.
Incorporating the following features:
*Standard "V" block diameters: 30", 28", 22", and 16"
*Handles a wide range of wire sizes and speeds
*Single "V" block units and double block combination units
*Two plane straighteners for cast and helix control
*Feet-per-minute display
*Pull out bases (fixed or rotating). Rotating bases are driven by either
an AC or DC speed controlled motor
Precise Motor Control is made possible using
AC frequency controls with a programmable soft start or ramp-up. The motors are mounted
directly to the gear box and final drive shafts. This causes the power to flow in a
straight line.
High Efficiency delivers major power savings. Impac uses a two stage helical gear drive rather than the
traditional right angle worm gearbox. This is 95% efficient, compared to 70% efficiency
for worm gears, and generates far less heat.
